Together with the Messenger of Allah in heaven
The virtue that can be obtained by supporting orphans is to get close to the Prophet Muhammad in heaven as close as between the index finger and middle finger as has been said by Rasulullah SAW.
Rasulullah SAW said, "I and the person who bears the orphan (position) in heaven like this", then he -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- gestured his index finger and middle finger sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, and slightly stretched both of them "(Narrated by Bukhari) , Sahih Bukhari, Sahl bin Sa'ad As-Sa'idiy: 5304)
A Muslim who wants to be with Rasulullah SAW in heaven, is advised to support the orphans because Rasulullah SAW has given them the promise of heaven and the distance is like the index finger to the middle finger.
Ibn Hajar Al Asqalanty Rahimahulla said, "This gesture is sufficient to confirm the closeness of the position of the donor to the orphan and the position of the Prophet, because there is no finger separating the index finger and middle finger."
